Inspection of ceramic components

For various manufacturers of technical ceramics, we have implemented system solutions for the inspection of a wide variety of ceramic components such as resistors, capacitors, piezoelectric elements, etc.

One example is a system based on a GigE colour camera that acquires the position/rotation and location of ceramic parts for transfer to a robot. A particular challenge of the application was the fact that the components can be printed or unprinted and a highly accurate positioning of the respective "centres" must secured.

In addition, the completeness of the printing is also checked for quality control purposes.

In another application, phil-vision solutions are used to detect defects such as blowholes, residues, missing or incorrect coatings on ceramic components. A colour detection of coatings on ceramic parts according to type, position or mixing has also already been realised sucesfully.
