WORKFLOW MACHINE VISION PROJECTS
From requirements to a smart solution
Initial consultation
Initial Consultation: Clarification of the problem, scope, timeline, and decision-making process; outline initial solution approaches.
Data Collection: We request additional information (e.g., images) as needed.
Quote: We prepare a quote for the feasibility study.
Order Placement: The client places the order for the feasibility study.

Feasibility
Feasibility Study: We capture images, perform test evaluations, select components, and evaluate potential solutions.
Result: Provision of all relevant data for assessing effort and costs.
Budget & Decision: Client receives a budget and decides whether to proceed with the project.
Requirements Specification
Requirements Specification: We prepare the document based on any existing requirements document.
Coordination: We finalize the requirements spec in close feedback loop with the client.

Quotation
Quote: We provide quotation with costs for components and software, as well as estimated expenses for connection, integration, support, and commissioning.
Order: The client places the order and receives the delivery date.
Implementation
Project Implementation: Implementation of the solution at phil-vision.
Commissioning: On-site installation and successful system startup.
Training:On-site training for clients employees.
Completion: Project completion and handover.

Many machine vision projects don’t fail because of hardware or software. They fail because feasibility was never properly validated.
That’s why we follow a structured workflow for every vision project:
- Initial consultation & requirement analysis
- Feasibility study using real image data
- Specification & project definition
- Implementation, commissioning & training
In industrial image processing, this helps reduce risks, avoid unnecessary costs, and prevent integration issues later in the project.
